This is one of my first hybrids that I made. I am quite proud of it actually. It already colored up very dark. The shade pictures don't do the color justice. The pictures in the sun however do. My other dark colored sarracenia are still not at their full level of redness.
Since it is a hybrid between alata Red Lid Perry Co, MS, Phil Wilson A18 and flava var. atropurpurea Blackwater State Forest. Am I correct to label it an x alava then or what is the correct name for a hybrid like this?

Congratulations Koen! I think you are right if label it x alava. Simply because x alava means a cross between S. alata with a S. flava and viceversa, including the various subspecies.

Thanks for the link Picol. I found something sortlike elsewhere on the net but this list of hybrid names is so much bigger. It almost makes me want to make some more of my own hybrids. :-)

Thanks for the kind words nagini99. I really like the color myself as well. I always wanted a very red/dark sarracenia. I got a couple of rubricorpora and atropurpurea plants but they don't get this red. Especially not this early in the season. I wonder wether it'll color up even more in the next months or that this is the darkest it gets.
